What do you remember about Tammie and her Junior High and High School days?

  2. Tammie,
I remember Tammie as my little side-kick sister who had to or ended up helping me with different chores and jobs on the farm. Terry and I would solicit Debbie and Tammie’s help as we hauled hay or moved pipe. Debbie and Tammie would reluctantly help us with the pipe moving on occasions by undoing the pipes so that they would drain faster so that Terry and I could move the lines more quickly. Debbie and Tammie claimed that we forced them with bribes of financial riches if they would help us, I’m not sure it ever ended up that way but I think that the reward for both them and us is we spent time together. Tammie and Debbie probably did get the short end of the stick. Debbie and Tammie would also help us when we hauled hay. Tammie would drive the one truck for me while I stacked the hay on the truck and then she would be my guide when we unloaded the truck as well. Debbie would do the same for Terry. When we borrowed Uncle Francis’s truck we would haul around 2000 bales of hay between us. Terry and Debbie would use one truck and Tammie and I would use the other. Obviously we had to have the help of our two little sisters. I do remember back to those days with fondness because of their help but also of the time that we spent together. As Sherry and Blaine got older they would help with the hay as well by rolling the bales into combined rows so that we could work faster. Later on in life after I had married Tracey, I remember her coming down to the field and helping roll the bales as well. She hated it because of the little field mice that would live under the hay bales almost the instant the bailing was done.
