Debbie and Nolan’s wedding It seemed like Tracey and I were always late to my sibling’s receptions. Tracey and I have such fond memories about each of their weddings and receptions. The wedding was beautiful. They were also married in the Idaho Falls temple. Once the wedding was over and we had had a lunch we headed off to Nolan’s for a reception. Nolan had given us instructions that once we took the Blackfoot exit and headed west we should take the first exit after crossing the river and go south. Well we missed the first exit and so by the time we realized it we were just a few miles away from Arco. Oops, just a little detour. We finally made it to the reception in Aberdeen. Yes we were late. Terry had taken the wrong road as well, so it was probably good that we did take the wrong road because we caught him going the wrong way and helped him get back on the right road as well. Once we made it to the reception we stood in line and I remember that we were probably more obnoxious than we should have been. Each of us would have our own little unique way of introducing ourselves. I think that mine was; “I am the son of the bride’s father” and would get that look like what did you just say? In other words “Debbie’s brother.” Everyone would look at us as if we were a little goofy. We have always had great memories of Nolan and his being a part of our family. Debbie and Nolan would always try to come and watch the boys wrestle until Shawn got into high school and then they started chasing him around. Over the years we have spent many a holiday or vacation with Debbie and Nolan and their family. I remember Debbie and Nolan coming down and staying with us in our apartment when we first moved to Brigham City. Brandon woke up in the middle of the night and was sleeping close to Debbie and Nolan. Brandon woke up and sees a big garbage sack that had been left on a chair and started to scream and freak out because he thought that it was big dog, which he was afraid of. The problem was that it was dark, a new apartment, and poor Nolan was right next to where Brandon was screaming and it woke both Debbie and Nolan up from a dead sleep. We have also made it a regular to meet up at the ranch and go fishing up at Henry’s Lake. We have had some great fishing outings. One time we caught 38 fish in about a 3 hour time frame and another we got 46 fish in about a 4-5 hour time frame. It has always been enjoyable. Lately we have made it a family regular to go spend a week together a Bear Lake.
