  1. Terry and Mary Ann’s wedding
Terry was living in Ogden at the time when he met Mary Ann. Tracey and I were living in Ogden as well while I was going to Weber State. Tracey and I were living at Parkwood apartments managing them for Kier Corporation. Terry was working for the Boy Scouts and would come over and visit almost every day or three or four times per week. Terry had dated some different women but they just didn’t seem to be the right one for him. He had met MaryAnn and had gone out with her a couple of times. He came over and told us that he was choosing between three different gals that he was dating at the time. He told us that he had run the three different situations past mom, Grandma Helen, and she told him that Mary Ann sounding like she was a great pick. He brought MaryAnn over and we got to know her. We loved her right from day one. At the time she had Cory, Amanda, and Josh who was just a baby. We spent a few times together getting to know her and the kids.
Probably the thing I remember the most about Terry and MaryAnn’s wedding and reception was that they chose the Ogden temple. I believe the reception was the thing that most of us remember. Randy Ripplinger had a video camera and he set it up to record the reception line. There was this little kid who had come with his parents. They were standing in line to visit and the little kid wanted to get his mother’s attention in the line while she was visiting with the reception line members. The little guy would look at the camera and then stick his tongue out at the camera. He must have pulled several hilarious faces at the camera and then look back at his mom and try to get her attention to show her the camera. His mom would keep showing the shhh sign and telling him to be good for just a few more minutes. Well every time that she wouldn’t really pay attention to him, he would pull another funny face at the camera and stick his tongue out at the camera. We kept thinking that they should have sent that video tape into America’s funniest home videos.
